History of Palace of Varied Industries:

The Palace of Varied Industries was a beautiful building distinguished by long colonnades, domes and towers. It measured 525 feet by 1,200 feet and covered fourteen acres.

It housed the exhibits of the arts industries from many states and countries. These included elaborate exhibits of leather products, ceramic, pottery, porcelain, furniture, upholstery, tapestry, art glass, cut glass, stained glass, office and household furniture, jewelry, clocks and watches, products in marble, bronze, cast iron, wrought iron and many others. In the southeast corner of the building, Japan’s exhibit was entered through a beautiful temple.
